Ask Bucketling and 5!

… So my backup tablet pen seems to have decided that pen sensitivity isn’t a thing it wants to do anymore.  So I ordered a better, though slightly smaller, tablet to replace it.  Hopefully it works better than the last one.

Not sure if anyone reads this or really pays attention to this blog anymore, but whatever.  Hopefully having a fully working tablet will make it easier for me to do art stuff.

Oh and so far, I haven’t really done much with the next rp world stuff…  Mainly because only one person really showed any interest, and I’m not sure if I should bother if I’m not gonna have at least a few people who want to join…  So I guess comment on this if you want me to keep building that world, or switch to a different system, or something else entirely.  [Here’s the world I’m referring to]   So, uh, suggestions?  Please?

Hey!  Haven’t made a post about these in a while, but hopefully I’ll be set up for the next session soonish!  I’ll be changing the setting and characters, so there’s quite a bit of work to do.  I won’t be changing rp systems yet, as this is a simpler one that everyone seems to have been enjoying so far.  Anyways, here’s what I have for the setting so far.  I’m still working on a map, so this will have to do for now.

So this world’s a mix of fantasy and technology.

The special abilities and weapons are found in strange areas called zones for now since I haven’t thought of a better name yet.

People who end up entering these areas either never return or come back changed. Either fused with magic and technology (cybogs), only slighty changed with some powers and weapons (human), or a different body entirely (Transhuman).

Androids are the natural denizens of these spaces, which have gained true sentience either from their creator, defects, or through interactions with those who have entered the zones from the outside.

Zones are either controlled and created by powerful monsters or humans with the aid of powerful magics or technologies.  Zones don’t have to be bound by the normal laws of physics or magic, so many strange things occur within them.  Each have their own rules for entering or exiting them, and no two are alike.

No matter their origins, the people who come out of these zones end up changed, and cursed. Dimensional boundaries don’t hold sway over them, causing them to occasionally shift out of normal space, only to appear again in a different location or time.  As such, they usually can’t go back to their normal lives, or hold normal jobs, and are usually known as drifters.

Drifters meet occasionally, but the more they interact, the stronger their bonds become, making it more likely for their paths to intersect in the future, despite their curse.  Towns seem to have more of a stabilizing pull, but drifters in general are looked down upon in normal society as their power intimidates most people.  And they aren’t fond of people who tend to phase out of their jails randomly.

The party is a group of drifters who’ve encountered each other enough times to form a bond strong enough to resist the curse, at least for the most part. So they decide to team up and move forward in some common goal.

Neat huh?  I like it so far.  Still working out some of the details though.  This will be a player-driven story as much as I’m able to manage. So hopefully it’ll work out well.
